Jen Skura Boutell, MA, MFA, NCC (she/they) is a a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who earned her Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Agnes Scott College. Jen uses a combination of expressive arts and body-based practices to support nervous system regulation alongside CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and traditional talk therapy. Committed to trauma-informed, body-centered care, Jen is passionate about helping clients reconnect to their lives with a sense of presence and possibility.
She utilizes her training and experience as a yoga instructor, teaching artist, advocate, and accomplice to help counseling participants navigate oppression and disconnection relating to grief and loss, intimacy and relationship struggles, queer and creative identity, and sexual and domestic violence.
Before counseling, Jen spent decades in the entertainment industry as a performer, dancer, and maker in Atlanta, LA,and NYC. This work has helped shape her understanding of influence, presence, and the emotional demands artists carry throughout their lifetime navigating issues like perfectionism, dysmorphia, and PTSD.
Jen is also a mother and published writer, honored to accompany her clients as they rebuild trust in themselves and others.
