Jazmine Yaya,
Intern

MFT Intern

Jazmine Yaya is a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) intern currently pursuing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Colorado Christian University. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier patterns of communication and connection.

Jazmine takes a compassionate, client-centered, systemic approach to therapy, recognizing that each person’s experiences, relationships, and environment shape their overall well-being. She strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their concerns and work toward meaningful change.

Her areas of interest include relationship and family dynamics, communication challenges, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, identity development, and parenting. She is particularly interested in helping couples improve communication, navigate conflict, rebuild connection, and develop a deeper understanding of one another.

Jazmine believes every individual and family has strengths that can support growth and healing. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they discover those strengths, gain new perspectives, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. She approaches each client with cultural humility, curiosity, and respect for their unique values, experiences, and goals.

Jazmine is supervised by Courtney Geter, LMFT-S, CST-S.
