Gena is passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate the intersections of
faith, sexuality, and mental health. She specializes in addressing issues like intimacy,
sexual identity, shame, religious sexual trauma, anxiety, and depression, fostering a safe
space for clients to explore topics such as desire, sexual performance, self-esteem,
relational dynamics, and faith-based concerns.
Her therapeutic approach incorporates Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT), and Gottman Method principles. Gena helps clients reshape their personal
narratives, improve communication, and build stronger emotional connections in
relationships.
Gena is pursuing dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Education in Human
Sexuality at Widener University, building on her Master of Divinity and years of pastoral
experience. She is completing her internship at Atlanta Therapeutic Collective under the
supervision of Ariyanna White, LMSW.
In her free time, Gena enjoys writing, cooking, traveling, and creating resources that
bridge faith and sexuality, empowering others to live authentically.
