Katy Hulse, PC

Sex Therapist

Katy is passionate about supporting individuals and couples as they navigate challenges such as relationship difficulties, desire discrepancies, libido concerns, erectile difficulties, and infidelity.

She has a special interest in working with premenopausal women (from early adulthood through perimenopause) who are experiencing a loss of desire. Katy finds joy in helping clients strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and deepen their understanding of consent and boundaries within their relationships. She welcomes and affirms clients in diverse relationship structures and communities, including CNM, LGBTQIA+, and kink-friendly spaces.

Katy’s counseling style is collaborative and person-centered. She walks alongside her clients with compassion and care, offering tools to help them better understand themselves and their relationships, reclaim their power, and move toward the life they desire. She tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, drawing from approaches such as Mindfulness, RLT, Attachment Theory, CBT, and Gottman methods. Katy is also trained in EMDR, supporting clients in releasing the grip of trauma and reclaiming their sense of self.

In her free time Katy can be found spending time with her partner, three children, and three spoiled dogs. Family game nights are a favorite tradition. She also enjoys hiking, yoga, and running—but only when the weather is just right! For self-care, Katy turns to the comfort of a good book and a warm blanket.

Katy earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William and Mary. She is currently working toward licensure as a LPC and pursuing certification as an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. She is under the clinical direction of Courtney Geter, LMFT-S, CST-S, and the supervision of Elaine Wilco, LPC-S, CST.
