Alexis Crewse
MSW Intern

Social Work Intern

Alexis is pursuing her dual master's degree in Public Health and Social Work from The University of Georiga. Alexis chose ATC as her internship site in order to further enhance her knowledge and skill set with sex therapy.

Alexis has an interest in working with clients who identify as LGBTQIA++, neurodiverse, kinky, CNM and introverted. Alexis has a particular interest in working with ADHD, depression, anxiety, burnout, and perfectionism. She aims to help clients develop assertive communication, boundary setting, and identity development across all areas of life. She is passionate about dismantling internalized shame and self-stigma and compassionately understanding the roots of shame, fear, and guilt. I also am passionate about dismantling internalized fatphobia and finding internal peace through radical self-love and self-acceptance.

Alexis is the creator of Pride and Progress: A Group Therapy for LGBTQIA++ adolescents, teens, and young adults. Alexis' vision for the program is to access rural clients with limited access to affirming health care.

Therapy with Alexis is a collaborative process with a focus on what is most important to you as you connect to your innermost self. Alexis wants clients to speak openly and vulnerably without fear of judgment, and she aims to provide you with the tools you need to build the life you desire and to see you reach your goals. Alexis believes that everyone is the expert of their own lived experience, and as your therapist, she hopes to support your journey to understanding your emotions, behaviors, beliefs, and relationships as you work towards your goals.

When not at work or in class, Alexis loves to spend my time playing with her dog, gardening,

baking, hosting game nights with friends, trying a new craft project, or finding a new coffee shop

to read a good book in.

Alexis is currently under the supervision of Ariyanna White, LCSW and clinical direction of Courtney Geter, LMFTS, CSTS.

Alexis' current rate is $35 per session.
