Kaila Poarch

Therapist Intern

 

Kaila is a therapist intern who has a passion for working with individuals in the African-American community, single mothers, victims of domestic violence, and teenagers.

 

She is an effective communicator that carefully analyzes the needs of those that require assistance to help resolve their therapeutic necessities. Prior to beginning her clinical journey at ATC, she provided treatment to individuals that displayed addictive behaviors due to the abuse of substances and/or alcohol. Kaila is a Certified Anger Management Specialist and oftentimes utilizes mindfulness meditation strategies to assist those that experience difficulties controlling their anger abnormalities.

 

Kaila was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia as a teenager. She initially struggled with adjusting to the Southern culture; however, it has helped mold her into who she is today. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University. Kaila now attends Northcentral University and is currently in her Masters program seeking her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is under the supervision of Courtney Geter, LMFT-S, CST-S.

 

She is a very fun, outgoing, and personable person and finds the most joy when she is eating, with her family, or watching cooking shows.

Kail'a current session rate is $35 per 50-minute session. Kaila is able to see clients using Cigna insurance.
